Mets in the liver

Hello,

Yesterday I got bad news - several mets in liver after docetaxel treatment (last injection was on Sept 21). I know that the prognosis is poor. What options could you recommend?

What type of scan did you get that detected the liver mets? How many were detected?

Usual CT scan with a contraster. They found at least 8-10 spots (5-35 mm) total at different levels.

Biopsy. That may provide clues for clinical trials.

I am taking jvannta (cab) for my liver Mets, it has shrunk the largest and no new ones were found on the last scan, the scan showed definte improvement. Will keep doing the infusions as long as I can showing improvment , each series of every 3 weeks for a set of 6. One of the patients has been doing this for 4 years so I am in it for long term if necessary.
