PC mets to liver - fighting fit.

Hi I am writing for Dad from India - his PC has just metastasised to the liver. His gleason score in 2013 was 9. I am reading your posts and believe me it is so encouraging and informative. Thank you all for coming together.

Good Wednesday Morning jakez,

I have been in this battle for almost six years (please see bio for complete treatment history).

Like your Dad, in September 2017 I was diagnosed with mets in liver. Began chemo with a Docetaxel/Carboplatin combo and PSA dropped from 10.8 to .4 after 6 cycles and liver mets improved.

Don't let your Dad give up, as there are treatments available.

my dad was also diagnosed with mCRPCa and had several treatments (zytiga, docetaxel). On ultrasound there were hepatic cysts seen. We will ask onco if these are mets. May I ask you how was your dad diagnosed with liver mets? Thank you

My husband has mets to liver too and is currently on Carbo Platin Chemotherapy. Please encourage your dad not to give up and to keep fighting. Good luck to you!^
