Thankful
I am thankful this year for many things, especially my wife of 35 years, Rose. My family, which consists of older Brother, Sister, four Cousins, my son and daughter and son -in law and daughter in law, 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
I am thankful for my life today, as exactly 10 years ago I was diagnosed with Stage 4, Advanced, Metastatic Prostate Cancer, and told I had 3 years to live. Thanks to a great medical team, the powerful drug Zytiga and the even more powerful leap of Faith, I believe I am here today, 8 years and counting many more years, into a lasting Remission. I believe in Miracles and that’s what I call myself.
Thankful to all those in the Medical field that have made my Journey strong and lasting, even when so many others that I know personally have suffered and passed. Thankful to have the strength and the grace on me to realize this truth and to try to inspire others with my humble story.
Thankful to all the friends and posters on HealthUnlocked, to those I don’t know much about, to some I call friends, some now are “Framily”, friends that have become family. We are all in this together.
Thankful to live in a country that cherishes freedom, and thankful to those who have kept and are keeping it safe.
Thankful to be able to sit on my porch and enjoy the nature that surrounds us. Thankful for the unknown mysteries of this life.
Thankful for all the artist, athletes and teachers that I have come to know and love.
Thankful for each breathe of life and to have this life have been breathed into me.
Thankful to see today a newborn great grandbaby’s breathe, his whimpering cry, his tiny eyes, that in all my hopes, will grow up to see the end and cure for all cancers in his lifetime.
Peace to all, of you, Keep the faith!
Hallelujah and Amen!
