If anyone uses these supplements like circumin and resveratral and the acid me tioned please lmk specific brands or links to order . THIS IS NOT TELLING ANYoNE REPLACE YOUR MEDICAL CARE, JUST INTEGRATE IF THERE ARE STUDIES OR TRUTH TO THIS ANTI GLUTAMATE HYPOTHESIS .

I mean this as complementary with my dad still being on Lipton as well desperately seek any trial non chemo and he got psma test so results Tuesday , but having exhausted all known options .. he is still on lupron and exgeva , can't handle more chemo from trial and has stopped trial bc too frail. So I'm putting this out there questioning validity and hoping it helps someone else too.

Any advice is welcome

Ty for being so good to me and helping me to help him . I LOVE YOU ALL FOR THE TIME ABD STRENGTH YOU JAVE GIVEN ME ALONG THE WAY. FOREVER GRATEFUL,ERICA

Curcumin may interfere with PSA tests:

Like Glutamate, it can also act as a heavy-metal chelator, which can interfere with Pluvicto and Ga-68-PSMA-11 PET scans.

Resveratrol has been found to worsen survival in mice. Studies in humans have so far shown no effect:

I believe that plants have complexity and healing chemicals but they are best consumed in their natural form. At a preventive stage, they help but at advance PCa they at best assist in keeping overall health good. My husband has a whole foods plant based diet and apart from the pesky cancer has very robust health. The article does seem to point to the benefits of eating a complex and varied diet.

Does he have energy in partbc of diet ?

yes. We take Vitamin B12 regularly. That is sourced from bacteria. Even animals that become food are given supplements for that. He takes Vitamin D3 as we do live in a Northern temperate climate.

Do you have a brand on that b12

Not any more. I go with what we can find in the local health store.

Fully agree. I’m also on a whole food plant based diet and avoid sugar, oil and alcohol. I follow Dr. Greger‘s daily dozen and recently added champions. For my (late) breakfast I do my oats with seeds, nuts and berries. For (late) lunch I eat mainly raw fruits and vegetables with some self baked bread. For (early) dinner I do mix my own plate of cooked vegetables with whole wheat noodles or sweet potatoes, a big green salad and sometimes a desert with again oats and blueberries. I love my diet and it seems that my diet loves me, too. Never felt better or stronger.

We too love Dr Greger's videos. My husband tends to do steel cut oats for breakfast with berries and seeds, a few nuts. We cook a lot of beans and whole grains and make large vegetable salads in a variety of colours. Now that we have been on the road a lot to see various consultants and trial researchers I realise that hospital food and motorway food is lacking in good nutrition.

I was really scared in 11/2017 when DXed and besides following my doctors advice I decided to change my (second) life, which I started that day. Diet is one component, exercise and stress-less life are the others. Looks like this complements my therapies.

Do you avoid olive oil bc I thought if I added in something for my dad it could help maintain weight . Bc fats are so debatable please fill me in

I follow the idea „whole food“ is better than extracted, concentrated or processed. So the keep/gain weight I eat nut and seeds. That also brings the healthy oil.

Ty I think I heard Brazil nuts good for keeping on wight . Not sure if nuts are constipating but bc of his meds that's a huge issue as these laxatives are stealing his nutrients too. I'm trying to get him to utilize c,mg and or msm and less senna and dulcolax. Ty for the idea . I'm going to make a nice bdket if nuts seeds and lil treats . He has a sweet tooth and has not been unhrt for much . Maybe I can sweeten them a lil.
