Any Recommendations For an AUS Surgeon In The Bay Area?

I'm planning on venturing to San Jose in January for the AUS surgery. Any recommendations for a doctor/hospital? I'm kinda scared since my last three surgeries have been mistakes. My RP left me totally incontinent, impotent, and ended up in BCF. I lost a kidney because of a harmless cyst...wrong diagnosis by two doctors. And my numerous sacral lymph node excision was a total waste since it did little to lower my PSA.

Thanking you in advance for recommendations,

Ron

An 'Artificial Urinary Sphincter' device implanted around the urethra as it comes out of the bladder with a tube connecting it to a bulb/ball implanted in the scrotum to control incontinence.

That is so awful, Ronnie.. I’m sorry to hear this. This surgery I hope will go better for you🙏

I recommend UCSF. They are ranked as one of the top facilities on the west coast. I’ve been treated by them for the past 3 years

Thank you for the reply! Is there a particular doctor that you would recommend?

My oncologist is Dr Borno. I’m happy with her. But, she is currently on family leave and won’t be back for another two weeks I’m told.

Greetings DaC00tie,

I have been trying for hours to contact someone in the urology dept. at UCSF with no success. The number I have is 415-476-1000. Do you by chance have a better number?

That’s the main number. It’s the same number I used when I first contacted them. They might have bee busy at the time.
