Pretty sure some great books will be mentioned but as for US TWO (wife and myself), we just did things the Old Fashioned Way with research to find information and talked about things.

Talking = emotions = getting to the core of each other's concerns + hugs and kisses and crying/laughing

p.s. - we've known each other since 1st Grade in 1956 and heading to 50th Anniversary

Hi Andrew,

I bought the book 'The Magic in the Tin: A Brutal and Poignant Account of One Man's Journey Through Prostate Cancer' by Paul Ferris for my dad (and mum).

Not quite the same journey as my dad, but the author shares many of the same frustrations and experiences. A very honest and beautifully written story.

It is indeed difficult navigating through life even when all is relatively good but when PCa or other pot holes appear in the road traveled it sometimes requires the employment of a special crew to successfully fill in and make smooth one's path as we complete our journey.

I have not read his books but from the TID BITS seen it might behoove you to look up Dr. George Sheehan's --- (p.s. a renown Doctor, runner and victim of metastatic PCa)

*Going the Distance:

One Man's Journey to the End of His Life

In his posthumous memoir, one of the world's great master runners tells the honest and moving story of his battle against cancer and the final race of his life. A book for anyone touched by major illness or death, Going the Distance is an inspiring book by a man who wrote eloquently about the experience of living, of pushing to the limit as an athlete, and arriving at the finish line a changed person.*

Androgen Deprivation Therapy; An Essential Guide for Prostate cancer Patients and their Loved Ones, Wassersug, Walker, and Robinson. This book has a lot about what "I can share with my significant other so that they can better understand what I am going through".
