Not sure exactly of her location but Alicia Morgans, MD would be great. I think TA has female doctor in that locale that he has previously recommended as well. You might search old posts.

Maha Hussein at Northwestern name has come up often in my searching for the best, I am still early in the SOC process so I have not felt the need to switch to her. , but I will if and when it becomes necessary for trials or advanced treatment. I am currently at Edward Hospital in Naperville for Urologist and MO only out of convienience... I just finished Radiation at U of Chicago and was pleased with the care. If you would fill out your history on your profile it would be helpful to all of us that want to help you.

While major teaching hospitals attract most of the best doctors, it is really the doctors you want. I assume you are looking for a medical oncologist. At Northwestern, Maha Hussain is the best. At U of Chicago, Russell Szmulewitz is excellent.

I'm stage 4 metastatic on Orgovyx and xtandi . Currently live in Florida and very happy with oncologist but moving to Illinois. Thank you for your responses.

I would prefer a male doctor.

In that case, Dr Szmulewitz is your guy. He will do virtual consults if you would like to get set up before you move. We have had several consults, and in between our local MO picks his brain a bit for us! We live in SE Wisconsin, 2 miles from Illinois. Good luck with your move!

My brother sees Maha Hussain - Excellent physician and scientist - she is brilliant. However we did see Russell Szmulewitz previously for a 2nd opinion before surgery -he is also excellent, in good hands with either one! Message me if you have further questions

Thank you... I'm actually moving to Round Lake, Illinois, just south of Wisconsin. I will arrange contact with Dr Szmulewitz. Thank you all again!

Very close to me! I am in Pleasant Prairie, WI so we go to Libertyville for many errands like shopping, car service etc. Practicalky neighbors!

If you want north of Chicago, Dan Shevrin at NorthShore (Evanston and Glenbrook, maybe Highland Park) is well-known, well-respected, and I think great. He has an academic appointment at U of Chicago.

And NorthShore is a teaching hospital, and he is medical director of the Evanston Kellog Cancer Center.
