At my Oncology Day Clinic, I was given Mycostatin (oral drops for fungal infections [thrush] of the mouth), and bioXtra (mouthwash for dry mouth). I have not been able to find any recommendations online regarding the need to use these agents after t having the Zometa infusion or taking the Nubeqa tablets. I was also given Pantoprazole which reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes and Valoid for nausea. At this point after one month on Nubeqa and one Zometa infusion, I have no nausea or any oral issues.
I was wondering if anyone else on Zometa, Nubeqa, Enzalutamide, etc. is taking these types of medicines for oral hygiene or gastrointestinal issues. Are they recommended as prevention?
Thanks.
