UCSF creates a ligand that lets Cancer cells outer membrane be broken down so our White Blood Cells and T cells can recognize and kill Cancer Cells:

More pieces of the puzzle. Quest for data continues. I keep a visual of microscopic white blood cells clustered around a large Prostate Cancer Cell, and doing nothing. Not recognizing the enemy is right in front of them !

It's amazing that there could be a treatment based on this in the future, but our biology will find ways around it, so then there will need to be another treatment to handle what comes next after the cells find a way around a KRAS-based treatment.

The longer I go down this path the more it seems to be dictated by the mutations we find instead of progressing down a linear path of treatment Y follows treatment X. I posted last week on my neuroendocrine differentiation and I think more of us are going to end up there with the other treatments keeping us alive for so long.

Glad to see you posting these things again, I always appreciate it!

From the article - "described in _Cancer Cell_, pulls a mutated version of the protein KRAS to the surface of cancer cells, where the drug-KRAS complex acts as an “eat me” flag. Then, an immunotherapy can coax the immune system to effectively eliminate all cells bearing this flag. "

yes, similar to the gal68 Ligand on a PSMA PET Scan, only this ligand draws the KRAS to the surface of the cell where it is no longer hidden from our T cells and White Blood Cells. Boom, attack is on 24/7. Mike

Turns out one of the stocks I trade has the platform that enables this tech.. Stock cratered today based on one of the two patients taking the drug in question, saying on social media that his therapy is not going well. Company had no comment...

TCRT - Alaunos Pharma

fortunately I sold last week because the stock had moved from $.50 to almost $4 very quickly.

I AM NOT recommending this stock. It is a total crapshoot at this point in time.
