About five months after beginning Lupron, Zytiga, and Prednisone, I began having pain in my right side. I've been to my oncologist, GP, and a surgeon. All have run blood work, CT scan, MRI, bone scan, and Xrays.
Thought it might be a hernia, but not. It can get pretty severe at times, but does come and go.
I was on Lupron and apalutimide and had a similar experience. Mine was left side, sometimes it felt like it was under my ribs other times on my ribs. Like you, all testing failed to find a cause. It was intermittent and extremely painful at times. Palpation failed to isolate any particular origin spot as well so it was rather perplexing. Luckily it finally went away on its own so I hope yours does too.
I had discomfort under right rib cage after a year on ADT, and it turned out to be borderline NAFLD, for which it’s been shown to have an association. Mine was benign at < 5% fat cell composition. Really surprised me with TG’s around 60.
My case was also considered very aggressive. I have experienced pains right side just below and underneath the ribs as well as nearing the pelvis, lower and upper parts. A good massage therapist can work your abdominal fascia. Any abdominal scars may also be massaged. Works well for me
I can't offer you any ideas of what may be causing it. However- for better or worse, you may wish to know that since my treatment began 10 years ago, I have a lot of discomfort in my right hip, BUT ONLY when lying on my right side in bed.
Very weird, since I don't have a tumor there or anywhere near there. I DO have a large tumor in my left hip, but my left hip doesn't have the pain.
