muscle weakness

I am experiencing very weak muscles in my shoulders and hips. I had a bout with rhabdomyolysis that was a little scary.

Is anyone else on zytiga experiencing the same?

I have been on Zytega for 8 months, and just recently started to become extremely fatigued especially when I exercise. I have my 3 month appointment with my oncologist this Friday and plan to ask her for her opinions

I'm on Zytiga, but only for two months so far. Before that I was on Erleada and then Xofigo for only three months. Both of those caused fatigue, but I have to admit since I started Zytiga I feel even more tired and have had a lot more muscle pain. Also taking Lupron for the 2-1/2 years, so the combination of all these hormone therapies has caused a lot of muscle loss.

I have weakness and very limited exercise capability. I am afraid I may need to compromise my cancer treatment

I would check a muscle enzyme called a CK. Muscle diseases like rhabdomyolysis generally cause an elevated CK. If you are on a statin that can cause serious muscle problems with an elevated CK. All the drugs that block testosterone can make you weak. This is why weight training is so important. If it is just the weakness from the lack of testosterone then your CK will be normal.
