Hi,
I’ve recently started urinated much more frequently but only at night when I go to sleep. Daytime isn’t an issue.
Note that I’m in week 2 of the triple threat treatment.
Any thoughts?

What do you mean by triple threat treatment? Brachy+EBRT+ADT? If so, frequent and urgent urination is a common early side effect.
Lupron, Zytiga and Chemo. Funny that urge is only at night when sleeping and not during the day
Lupron will make you urinate at night, it’s one of the possible side effects. I’ve been doing it for six years.
Sleep apnea? Maybe you should have a sleep study in a hospital? If you are over 65: years and over you may have a 60% chance having a sleep apnea. I am using a CPAP machine Resmed S9 . Ask your GP to see a sleep specialist. Don't drink alcohol before going to bed and don't use any muscle relaxant.
If you have any edema in your legs, when you elevate them, you will have increased urination.
Ditto here kindest Raoul
Oxybutynin helps
Oxybutynin helps
Two things that helped me were Flomax, Reich a day and multiple sits baths several times a day where I could relax and pee away. I have been in Flomax since 2003 and still take a sitz bath everyday. Good luck and best wishes,
GD
Switching to decaffeinated coffee has helped me. Good luck.
Prunes before bed has helped me
11 yrs and nothing helped. Then I was in a rehab center for a month with a broken hip. You just peed in a plastic urinal in bed. Put it in side table and nurse emptied periodically. Started doing it at home and it really helps me. Wake up and gotta pee, just grab the urinal, pee, put it on side table and go back to sleep. Not having to get out of bed and walk to the bathroom makes a world of difference when trying to get back to sleep. Depending on you output you might need 2 urinals. Works for me. Good luck!😎

to pee-my spouse does same thing- he uses the urinal then he has a big plastic jug that was from cat litter- ad he pours it in there at side of the bed and puts the lid o n it and then it gets emptied during the day. or use like a wide mouth plastic gatorade bottle to pee in and close the lid. then alter in day can be emptied. he complains about the same issue with the increased night time peeing and interferes with his sleep wear depends and hates it when he falls asleep and pees and wakes up wet. that is w hat baby wipes are for. keeps pee pads on the bed to protect it. had to borrow a few from my little poms- they did not mind sharing their pee pads. cat does not mind sharing a cat litter jug.
Am about 9 months post brachy IMRT ADT treatment. Also find frequent urination a side effect. Sometimes urgency is more, sometimes less. Coffee and tea are an irritant so, best not to drink last thing at night. Also, foods that cause gas and difficult bowel movements affect the comfort level. Like other comments, I keep a plastic bottle in my vehicle in case I need to stop and discretely pee. I hope this gets better with time but am thankful for the outcome.

Someone, probably not Kaliber, suggests an orange juice container next to your bedside. Just remember which container has the orange juice.
If you are having difficulty peeing, I found that Ibuprofen or Aleve before bed really helped. When I started ADT and Docetaxel the problem of difficult urination went away the first week. I used to pee 11 times a night. I believe it was Gabapentin (for my foot neuropathy) that took away almost all my hot flashes, and now I pee maybe 3 times a night. That's just what I think, and it's just a happy side effect. Maybe others with neuropathy can chime in. I would rather pee 11 times a night than have neuropathy. Could have been a side effect of Xtandi? Who knows. Sorry, I know this reply won't help you.
I find that application of warm, moist heat to the area just above the penis often reduces my overnight trips to the bathroom by half.
It’s called nocturnia ! I just found out this name when a member posted that two prunes before bed and four at daytime prevents this . I hate prunes but I’m going to try it . I’ve had 7 yrs of urgency to pee day and night . But In fact it was my main symptom for years before I got dxed. . That is ten years total . I’m up every 90 minutes at night to pee , and all day urgency to pee more often than not . I had a bad urology that you don’t . You should improve hopefully after treatment and recovery .. Good luck , try the prunes , if it works please post it? Take care
is that canned prunes or like candied prunes- or fresh prunes or prune juice but not plums-
I think it’s fresh prunes but I’m not sure . I haven’t tried it yet . I don’t like the prune much ✌️
