Zytiga progress now moving to xtandi

Hi again just to update my progress on Zytiga. Saw my consultant last week and this time he was armed with all the latest CT and bone scans along with bloods and PSA (still creeping up). Basically he proposed to move my drug to Xtandi (with no steroids) and give me one session of radiotherapy on my left hip which has apparently taken a bashing. I took Zytiga. For just 10 weeks. Any insights on Xtandi appreciated. Thought I would add my family Christmas photo no prizes for guess which one I am

Zytiga and xtandi work in different ways, so hopefully it will be a good move.

That seems to be the approved order these days. 5 years ago they didn't know as much and I started on xtandi. Now the think zytiga would not work for me.... Best of luck with your change.

Nothing to offer on Xtandi but you have a beautiful family. I hope the new treatment works well for you.

My dad just had his oncology appointment today. He’s been on Zytiga for many years and his PSA has been rising very very slowly for the past couple years. Today the oncologist said we should switch to Xtandi, especially because it recently became publicly funded (yay). Will keep my profile posted with updates.
