Prednisone and rotator cuff repairs.

Concerned 5mg prednisone slowly affecting shoulder tendons….pain increasing. Took higher dose in 2016 for inflammation and rotator cuff repair greatly affected. New pain for last 3 weeks. Anybody have this reaction in the rotator cuff area while using prednisone and Zytiga,

I began ADT two months ago and I’m experiencing shoulder pain. I was a baseball player for many years, and so I’m sure my rotator cuff was damaged from over use. However, only since ADT have I experienced chronic shoulder pain . The odd thing is that I’m experiencing pain in both shoulders, not just my throwing shoulder. It makes it impossible to do much weight training.

It has been exactly 1 year since I tapered off Zytiga and prednisone 5mg. (both taken for 2.5 years.)

Left shoulder pain has increased steadily since then, to the point that it was difficult to sleep.

I sleep on my left side and right shoulder pain is there, but to a much lesser degree.

I found a "Light and Breathable Shoulder Brace for Torn Rotator Cuff, AC Joint Dislocation, Sprains, Tendinitis Pain Relief" on Amazon and the results were immediate.

I put it on (snugly) when I get home from work and remove it the next morning. I can now sleep on my left side without pain.

Also, I turned 73 last month and started playing golf when I was 14. Could be the pain has nothing to do with prednisone. Hmm...🤔
