Can anyone advise if CBD Oil is safe to take to aleviate joint pain during ADT and radiotherapy?
Thanks
There is no issue with taking CBD oil during ADT. I take some myself at least five nights a week for a better sleep. However I think it might be best not to take any during radiation treatments and probably for two weeks after radiation is over. This is because radiation works through free radicals and CBD is a potential antioxidant as per the following article: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl....
The doctors recommend not taking antioxidants during the radiation therapy. However there is a little contradiction or uncertainty in that area because there are some studies that say that Curcuma (Turmeric) and Melatonin help radiation target cancer cells better and those two are antioxidants so go figure...
But during ADT, no problem with CBD for sure.
Thanks Nal
I too take THC oil but I take the THC at 7h00pm and then the CBD oil at 9h00pm. Nal, the reason I do take them 2 hours apart is that I had read somewhere to you do not get the full benefit if they are taken simultaneously because they compete with one another for cell absorption or something like that. Did you find otherwise?
Do you have joint pain?
Stiffness more than pain. The feeling of swollen knee joints mainly.
I assume you’re a 64 or 65 year oldrunner? I am SO smart😀. Arthritis in knees? I do hope you’re lifting and stretching, not running only with those legs on ADT.
Icing the knees can help. I like CBD oil as a sleep aid but I suspect it’s good for my arthritis and a few other things too.
Using CBD oil for 3+ years while on ADT and seems to help ME in a lot of ways. Pain, sleep, anxiety, reduced opioid usage for pain.Started with high doses and now on what I describe as maintenance dose.
NO prior experience with any such drugs.

In my case, I've been taking doses of both CBD oil, CBD isolate, CBG oil, CBG isolate, THC flower and cannabis oil. I vape the flower. I've done this through 20 doses of radiation to prostate and 5 radiation treatments to mets. It helps me both physically and mentally. For me its been a godsend. Later this year I will mark 50 years of using cannabis to save my sight from congenital glaucoma. I also have severe arthritis. It's been great for SEs from Orgovyx, pain and sleep.
I live in MD, med marijuana state. Yes, to CBD and THC during treatment and occasionally now. Gummies of varying strengths. Def good for relaxation, sleep and joint pain (my fingers would "lock" in place, knees and elbows hurt). Aches gradually dissipated after treatment stopped. I know of no downside. Enjoy.
I use CbD and thc oil and cbd rub-on with good results for sleep and joint pain. I’ve read that CBD and Prednisone conflict so I give a couple of hours between doses
Tinnitus is a possible side effect – it was with me and I had to stop.
Just sayin’ – something to watch for.
One reference – there are many others:

dave5477, were you using CBD oil, or marijuana? For the latter the tinnitus connection seems shown, less sure about CBD oil..
I believe CBD oil is for the knees and beer is in the joint..........

So many of you report using CBD oil. My question: Is there any standard for these oils? Does buying the oil from one shop mean you're getting the same product/strength as from another shop? Are there different strengths to look for? There must be 25 cannibis shops within 10 miles of my house, and each one seems to have totally different stock.
I was advised to take 80mg of full spectrum CBD oil not for palliative effects but because it can help the tumors to self-destruct.
Here are some links; if someone with medical/scientific background cares to comment, that would be helpful.

CBD, Cannabis are great for a lot of things. Knocking out tumors is kind of out there.Curious who "advised" you of that ?
