I have previously posted a few incontinence devices that I have tried, but this simple 'doohickey' seems to work best for me since it's easy to install/change, confines the urine to just the penis (if not allowed to get too wet), is sanitary, and you can conveniently carry spares in your pocket. My leakage is significant while I'm active and this usually takes care of me while I'm out having dinner or shopping. While I'm sitting at my desk I can often go for 3 hours or more without a change. During the night I can go 6 to 8 hours without a change providing I completely empty my bladder before retiring. I find that 'sitting' on the commode is best since it allows me to relax and get every last drop expelled before bedtime. Most of our toilets in Thailand have a sanitary sprayer and valve attached to the tank water supply which I could Never, Ever do Without! Many folks in the US have bidets, however, if you don't have one, this simple kitchen sink sprayer is an excellent alternative that is actually more efficient. I have never been able to figure out how a 'first world country' like America is still dependent on unsanitary toilet tissue when a 'second world' country like Thailand has been using this device for decades!
If I were in the States (happy that I'm not) I 'might' consider an AUS; however, Medicare pays for nothing outside of the US. "Might" is the operative word in this sentence since the three surgeries that I had were 'all' major mistakes!
Hope some of this may help a few of you that are dealing with incontinence.
