Good News at 11 mos since Dx.

Like to pass along good news when I can. After 11 months on Firmagon, now Lupron, and Xtandi, now Zytiga/prednisone. My PSA is finally below 1 at .67 !! T @ 0.0%. The first 3 mos inject of Lupron was June 10th. My body does better on Lupron vs Firmagon (although weight gain is new), and better on Zytiga than Firmagon (which raised my T in month 1 & 2, followed by rise in PSA). I have read that slow to nadir, men may live longer? Originally PSA 47, now .67. No Surgeon will operate (7 have said no), 2 Radioloogists have said no, citing location of PCa to bladder and Rectum. Hifu is out. Cryo is out. Looking into Nano Knife as it does not destroy surrounding tissue and can be repeated multiple times if needed. Will keep u posted. Do not want a Prostate that is cancerous or lymph nodes surrounding it.

Best to you all,

Mike

Correction: better on Zytiga than Xtandi which raised my T in 1st & 2nd month followed by rise in PSA.

Hey Mike - I sure wish I was out front on that lake house dock right now. Damn nice flat walk to water.

Glad the numbers are going the right direction! Keep talking to smart people and you will find a solution.

Thanks Dave, yes took a month and visited childhood friends, family, at their cottages. This is Lake Huron in photo. Had Walleye 3 niights. For me, some of the best fresh water fish.

My bro in law has the same Delano. Super nice. You’re doing something right, There is no one fix for us all. You will find yours . Keep that PSA down for many years. What about chemo?

Thanks Scott. Yes have a note on the Delano. Didn't dig too deep into Retirement funds. Safe way to travel w covid expanding everywhere. Just my wife and our 2 Aussies. A great month up North. On chemo, the MO said Docetaxel will do nothing with PCa in sennescence. He said once they wake up and PSA starts to rise, Provenge, then Docetaxel. Nothing seems curative at this point. Even if I am accepted with Nano Knife, it will be Cyto Reductive, and not with intent to remove everything. Docetaxel will be best bet on micro mets from what I read?

Will take any win I can get at this point.

Best,

Mike
