My husband has had Prostate Cancer since 2008. He has undergone surgery, radiation, hormone therapy (Lupron), Provenge, Clinical Trial. Chemotherapy, Lutetium 177 Treatment in Germany (4) cycles and is now on Xtandi. His oncologist does not hold hope that the Xtandi will bring down is PSA. His Prostate Cancer is primarily in his bones at this time. He is experiencing some side effects with the Xtandi, primarily lack of appetite and tiredness. We are searching for another treatment --------

Jevtana? Results of genomic tests?

not genetic - have had testing done. He had one cycle of Jevtana before we went to Germany for Lutetium 177.

Was a "liquid biopsy" performed? FoundationOne?

He might be able to get just as good results with a lower dose of Xtandi as many have done.

There are also other second-line ADT drugs such as Zytiga and Nubeqa with better side effect profiles. He might be able to get one of those prescribed. These are things he could discuss with his doctor.

I have stage 4 PC and was diagnosed late Dec 2020. I’ve been on Xtandi with Xgeva monthly injections for about 5 months and Lupron for 9 months. I have fatigue from the Xtandi and hot flashes from the Lupron. None of the side effects are too bad. I try to keep busy and live life the best I can. I take my Xtandi in the morning with 1/4 of a granola bar & lots of fluid. I don’t have any problem with sleeping as some do. Please let me know if you have specific questions, I would be glad to help any way I can. Take care.
