Over four years of Dad's blood test results

I have been routinely posting to update my Dad’s blood test results since his diagnosis with aPC in 2017, and so now do so again with results from 2021. He is in the UK and he was diagnosed in July/Aug 2017, had 6 rounds of docetaxel in the Autumn of 2017 and has been on the STAMPEDE PATCH trial for a couple of years (where he applies transdermal oestradiol patches rather than ADT injections).

Results generally still look good to me, but the one thing to note is that recent increase in PSA from 0.03 to 0.1. It is difficult to know if this is a statistically significant increase or perhaps a case of the test not being as sensitive as it was previously (I know that can be the case in this may essentially be a case of it being rounded up). ALP scores remain consistent which is positive given mets in his spine and rib.

Anyone have any thoughts or feedback on the below – especially with relation to the increase in PSA?

Aug-17 - PSA: 29 ALP: 160

As you said, it's still low. Nothing you would do about it anyway.

Have you copied it exactly as it appeared on the report? The reports are automatically printed from the analyzed, so if it was a true double decimal value this would read 0.10 and not 0.1 which would originated from a single decimal analyzer.

The PSA is low and it has been stable in the last 2 months along with a stable ALP. Wait to start worrying until there is a progressive increase of the PSA during several months. Nothing to change now.
