Today I got my third shot. It was easy. No appointment needed. I walked into the local pharmacy, told them I was immunocompromised with metastatic prostate cancer, and I was given the shot. No proof needed!

Please guys get that third shot ASAP!

Yep, got mine Sunday at a local RiteAide-- 3rd shot of Moderna.... vaccine card updated with "Moderna xxxxxxx", which looked like a batch number. Sore arm and fluish for 24 hrs, then felt fine.

I’ve had fatigue all day today, that’s about all the side effects to report.

Same experience here, too. CVS has on line sign up, locates which store has your vax, choose a time and show up.

Thanks for the heads-up!.

I told my wife, who has been anxious for the 3rd. Our local CVS wasn't doing Moderna & the county people who did our first two didn't have the vaccine yet. Anyway, she called around & there was a Walgrens that had it. No appointment & no line. We were done 90 mins after reading your post. Thanks!

Thank you, they don’t seem to have started in England yet, in fact no signs were going on holiday in Oct for a couple of months hopefully and wanted to be fully protected. Thanks for your help SheilaF

You’ve probably had the Astra Zeneca, unlike Pfizer and Moderna I’ve not seen any report where the immunity drops, have you? Do they recommend a top up for AZ for 6 mths after the 2nd jab?

Hi l rang the helpline yesterday, and they said not started the 3rd vaccine yet. And that the vulnerable would be first. How more vulnerable do l need to be brain tumor & incurable ovarian cancer sometimes you feel like screaming to be honest. Dont think were selfish in wanting to go on holiday in Oct and would feel a bit safer. My husband in a similar situation he's got no spleen through pancreatic cancer. My brain tumor managed with a shunt so no problem really. Seem to think that all the posts lve read this morning are people in the US. Take care everyone were all fighting our battles. God bless SheilaF x

Did the same. My doc said it's for immonsupressed folks and not approved for me yet. WHAAAAT? I am battling stage 4 metastatic PC. Bullshit, I Went to CVS , made an appointment and getting my Moderna 3rd booster Sat. 2 pm CDC, Med Providers are confused with new rules rolling out every day. Grab the bull by the horns and get your 3rd booster. Dammed be the slow poke bureaucrats.

Get ur booster and screw the slow pokes.

Stay well warriors

Got my 3rd vac. in Israel eight days ago. Funny enough Israel has emerged as the leader in Covid treatment, same for PC, all fully covered by public health!

Received my 3rd Moderna dose @ Walgreen's last Saturday noon - a few days before my 5th dosing of cabazitaxel. I was hoping that means my immune system had recovered from the previous chemo and would be able to notice. It did!

TG2 - Has it been 8 months since you received your 2nd vax shot?

tallguy2 profile image
tallguy2 in reply toMoespy

No, only 5 months. For immunocompromised people the 8 month rule does not apply.

That is awesome! As soon as they recommend the J&J for the booster I will be on it.Thank you!

Set up my appointment today for next week. Didn't think to try local pharmacy, but that's ok, I'd rather just keep it in house as I have been (Hospital)... 👍

I was wondering the same... how many months has it been since your 2nd vax for all you guys that got the 3rd booster? It's only been 4 months since hubbies 2nd Pfizer and I wondered if it may be a bit too soon, any advice?

It was five months since my second shot. In my opinion your husband should get the third shot now.

My first two shots were Pfizer. Has anyone seen any information about whether it’s important to stay with the original vaccine or mixing it up?

tallguy2 profile image
tallguy2 in reply tobean1008

I believe the CDC has said to stick with the original vaccine manufacturer if possible.
