Good morning my Brothers, I got my six month CT and bone scans back today. The findings showed no progression to any vital organs and the bone mets are stable. My treatment so far is Zytiga, Eligard, Xgeva which has since been stopped because it caused dead bone in the jaw that had to be removed, Provenge infusions two years ago. PSA 0.1 since the first treatment four years ago .I have been blessed with a great Doctor and his medical staff that promises to keep me alive to see my Grandkids grow up so far so good. I want to wish my Brothers that served in the military a blessed Memorial day and thank you for your service. Never give up Never surrender. Leo

Great news.So you are one of the supposedly small percentage who experienced the nasty jawline death side affect from Xgeva.

Can you tell us how that was diagnosed and how successful the operation to repair it was?

It's a fairly easy diagnosis once the bones start cutting through your jaw. The first one started on the bottom jaw once it broke through the gum it spread quickly. The second time it was the top jaw and it was worse because it affected front tooth. Both of the surgery procedures required multiple stitches and anesthesia. My oral surgeon said that most likely there will be a third surgery according to recent X-ray but too soon to tell. It's not a fun procedure and was attributed to the Xgeva by My Cancer Doctor and Oral surgeon.

Sorry. I’ve been very busy. They went great. Doctor came in with a smile and a big thumbs up 👍👍👍. No new Mets , no new fractures, as he says I am Stable again. Been on Xtandi now 4 1/2 years as well as eligard and Xgeva. Right side of the grass.
