I begin the Apalutimide on Tuesday once it is couriered out to me. This will be in conjunction with Lupron which started April 30th. I have a follow up appointment with the MO, Dr Suo on June 23rd with genetic testing bloodwork tomorrow am and follow up PSA every month for a year. Already on Lupron, the PSA 0.81 and the Testosterone is 2.2. Hoping that this keeps everything in check. Again, thanks to all of you for all of the information and support.

Apalutimide begins
I have been on Eligard/Erleada for 16 months. PSA is 0.00 Testosterone is 4. 3 active lymph nodes did not show up on last Bone/CT scan. Everything I’ve read about Erleada has been positive.
I have been on erleada/lupron for 4.5 yrs part of titan trial..you should see a furthur drop in psa as mine has been undetrctable <.1 for 3 yrss....it will be your choice on qol as imho the double blockade comes at quite a cost in qol. If you excercise dont stop..best of luck b.w
I am starting Apalutamide next week in place of Zytiga n Prednisone which I have been on for the last 2.5 years. What side effects have you had that affect your QOL?
The fatique is more...the brain fog is really wierd....i can remmeber what i wore to school in grade school.. i know whats up at the moment ...but current memories are lost....its like u live in the present...hard to explain....the applutimide mayne because its workjng in your brain seems to shut the door.....and then theres the" heavy leg " feeling that others have expierenced... and may be a reason for falling being a listed side effect... but saying all this ...mission acompli...no testosterone...no met growth at present.
Fair balance, no met growth, low testosterone and PSA, this means more life and hopefully the quality remains. Thanks for the advice and guidance
Be aware that the most common side effects are fatigue and increased risk of falling. I have experienced both while on Erleada.
