Kaiser MO got me on Xtandi, and my copay was $20πŸ’™

Will still do monthly PSAs and see if it helps with the two 1cm iliac nodes that lit up.

Life is still beautiful even with #stageivpca

Dental office is busy, seeing patients helps offset ADT induced depression.

Still doing Intermittent Fasting for 16 hrs and on Metformin and Lipitor.

Fight on Brothers

Wow , your insurance is great. I’m with Kaiser and I have to pay $100 for the same box yayahahahaya just got a new one three days ago. I’m on Lupron along with my Xtandi and it held solid for 24 months so far. Psa undetectable. I do monthly bloodwork too.

Herze hoping your xtandi works as well for you as it has for me brother. Have a nice weekend.

I'm with Kaiser, and Zytiga generic has been $120. I've been very satisfied with Kaiser, love that it is all under one roof for the most part. I just moved though, and have to get another insurance plan, not looking forward to that.

Not to make you or anyone else feel bad, but I use my wife's insurance with Kaiser. She has great benefits through her teaching position. $10 for generic Zytiga. πŸ˜„

Congratulations on the low copay! I'm doing alternate day fasting - lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks - my goal is to get my 6 pack back. I just installed pull-up and dip bars in my doorway.

I'm just doing it because I gained weight from sheltering in place. Purely cosmetic in my case.

Hey T_A!

I have an older model of this unit-- HF-5962 FITNESS TREE--Type it into your search bar.

This VKR, fitness tree also has handles for doin neutral grip pull ups.

The back is also used as a sit up board. Other things you will need--

Two 10 lb. barbell plates to hold for added resistance when doing sit ups.

Ankle weights when doing leg raises for the lower abs.

A dip belt to suspend weight plates from to increase the resistance when doing dips, pull ups and chin ups.

Looks like a good device! I just use retraction bands and removable pull-up and dip bars that I place across a doorway. For my abs, I do leg raises while hanging from the pull-up bar and also have a wheel. I also walk 3-4 miles every day.

Hey T_A!

Amazon--one of these.

Ueasy Adjustable Chest Expander 5 Ropes Resistance Exercise System Bands Strength Trainer for Home Gym Muscle Training Exerciser

Very good for about $20!

Get the one with the black tubes. You can use one to five tubes for a max resistance of 264 lbs. There are quite a few videos showing many exercises that can be done between computer work or during TV commercials. Trapping a handle to the floor allows for deltoid work, bicep curls, reverse curls and some one handed rows for lat work. Eugene Sandow used chest expanders and also sold them. Syd Devis wrote an excellent booklet about chest expanders.

I have an old school chest expander with heavy steel springs that has about a 25% higher resistance. I bought it in 1965.

Get ankle weights for the leg raises if you can find some. There is always Craigslist--By the way--never--never do leg raises from a bar that can become detached or fail. The tree might be safer for you. I have also used piping and 2"X6" screwed to studs in a hallway to provide a secure bar that cannot fail when I am doing inversion sit ups from gravity boots.

Hope you have a nice long run with Xtandi, dockam.

You will get used to gulping down those 4 big capsules every day quite soon. My technique is to "float" each one quickly off my tongue and "down the hatch" with 3 successive swallows of water. I've done it nearly 5,700 times, so far.

5700 Times ? But who’s counting? Let me see? 6 per day for two years . Tak -700 =4380 then I was told if side effects bad , ? That I could only take 4 per day .So I have . Side effects much lessened from 6 to only 4 per day . So then another 3 yrs 7 months times 4 per day = another 5100 stinking little pink pills . 5100 + 4380 Mama Mia ? A lot of pills . Now if I count my 20 nutrients a day in pill form wtf? Pills are us😳... anything to survive ..πŸ™

Randy -

Are you a dentist with Kaiser, or another clinic? Caught my attention when you mentioned dentistry and Kaiser.....my wife has worked at Kaiser dental in Portland for approx 23 years. With that low copay, thought maybe you work there. You look too young for PCa......best wishes!!!

dockam profile image
dockam in reply to maley2711

I have my own private offices in two cities. Dunno Kaiser ran dental too

Thanks for the "look too young"πŸ’™ Got hit at 57 and turned 63 last May.

When I work on a customer, I wear a plastic face shield and a face mask - not fun when an ADT induced hot flash occurs.
