Seizure occurred in 0.5% of patients receiving XTANDI. If you had a seizure while on it, discuss switching to Nubiqa - your insurance might approve it if you've had a seizure while taking Xtandi.

YES. Seizures is an uncommon side effect of Enzalutamide. Occurs more often in men who have personal or family history of seizures.

I used Xtandi from Jan2017 until April 2017. I was put on this after Bicalutamide stopped working after 12 months. Immediately I felt wondeful, invigorated in energy and able to walk faster than I had for 2 years. Suddenly after a brisk 5k walk my daughter thought I was responding unusually and took me to the hospital. I was given a CT scanand it was thought I was dehydrated. I suffered a minor seizure and completely lost 5 hours of memory. I was completely recovered overnight and was sent for an MRI which was clear. My Oncologist received the information and immediately changed my meds to Zytiga and prenisolone. This continues to work 4 years later . My psa has slowly risen from 0.001 to 0.04 over the last two years. I guess I am on of the low percent that suffered from a mild seizure. I have no previous history of seizures.

Husband had an episode; ER decided it was a “mini stroke”, but seeing these posts, I’m guessing it was a seizure. He couldnt speak; then didn’t know the dog’s name, etc. Doc switched him to Nubeqa over a year ago.

Had a seizure over a year ago but it was a few months BEFORE I started Xtandi. Metroporol overdose I figure caused the seizure. It was the most horrible medical situation of my life, unconscious for 1-2 days. No memory of that period. I had a brain bleed too due to hitting my head on the floor. Then lost some brain function like could not add more than two single digit numbers without difficulty, could not talk without difficulty with words. Luckily my MO stopped my blood thinner Plavix right away and I recovered without having to have my skull drilled to let out blood. A neurologist put me on Leviteracetum to control seizures soon before I started Xtandi. Xtandi for a year has been no problem. Seizures have never recurred. Mental function seems to be back to normal. I consider myself lucky. Xtandi with ADT has brought my PSA down from 35 to <0.1.
