Could I be CR or just a flair?

Hi men,

After a 18 moth holiday from ADT my psa began to rise doubling every month . My MO put me on Lupron in December at the March appt. for my next dose psa doubled .49 - 1.1 he is having me come in April to do scans blood and consider enzalutimide and prednisone?

There's nothing in your profile. Were you diagnosed as metastatic or were you on iADT for a non-metastatic recurrence?

Dx with stage 4 metastatic with a Gleason 9.

You should have been started with enzalutamide. Better late than never. No prednisone.

I too started with Firmagon. Still on it at month 6. Everyone I know on Lupron starts with Lupron + Casodex to counter the well know initial flair of Lupron. But you do not mention Casodex?

Casodex is not required with Firmagon as there is no flare.

They told me the same thing four years ago. just finished a 4 mile run.

When were you dx? Im happy Ive made it 9 years and also rode competitive cycle and worked out like a madman for the first 5 years. With a Gleason 4+5/9 and crazy spread to bone and lymph Im just happy to alive at this point. But not messing with the plan at this point.

2015 I have to state that the vaca was to happen when I completed a trial of firmagon and casadex only came into play when I progressed about 16 months later when I was put on Lipton. When I went in to get my next injection instead of my PSA going it doubled.

I received the news in early 2015. PSA 850, mets all over my bones and every freaking lymph node in my body cancerous.

I don't know what this vacation business is...stage 4 since 2012. Lupron , Xtandi added 2.5 years later. No vacation, just side effects.

I want to clarify. When I stated a vacation to be clear it was a condition of a clinical trial that I stop treatment at one year. The arm of the trial I got was Firmagon . Treatment would resume at progression that took place about 16 months later. Now my MO put me on one week of Casodex and my first 3 month shot of Lupron 12/20. Fast forward to 3/21 for next shot and my labs show that instead of driving me back to undetectable my number doubled.49/1.11.
