Found some old bottles of arbiraterone and prednisone which show expiration dates several months ago. Some questions: 1. Are they safe to take? 2. Are they still effective? 3. Is there a grace period after expiration where they are still good to take?

Expired arbiraterone and prednisone - OK to take?
Use them:
In general, the worst that happens is that they eventually lose potency.

None of my business but I'll say what I'm thinking. How would anyone have "leftover" drugs to be "found"?
Possibly some keep them for a future rechallenge. That is exactly What I plan on doing.
Me too.
They have been found to be 100% effective for 8,9 years. Can't remember the information source.
On my bottle of abiraterone it to discard after one year.
The worst that can happen is they may lose a little bit of potency. You will still be able to swing!
Pharmaceutical companies have pharmacies put that on so you will discard them and buy more.
We put our "leftovers" in the refrigerator for future use. We have a retired chaplain in our co-op who collects them to be sent to a fellow chaplain in Central America for distribution.
Throw away the pills and swallow the bottles.....
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

Well respected Medical Letter did a test on very many expired medications. They concluded that all dry (tablet and capsule) medications are safe and potent for at least one year after the expiration date.
