Psa : Should your psa be zero on lupron... - Advanced Prostate...
Psa
Everyone is different I still have my prostate and on the best working treatment I have never been below 1.27 or over 16 on the worst treatment. I tend watch scans more than PSA.
Depends on whether you have prostate or prostate was removed surgically. If prostate is absent, any PSA which is there is most likely coming from cancer cells. But if prostate is still there.. a small amount of PSA might be coming from left over normal prostate cells or from inflammed prostate.
0.22 and stable is good.... Keep an eye on it and look for 3 rises in a row before you get excited.
I had a similar question for my MO. My PSA has been hovering at .2 for a few months while on Lupron. He said that since I still have my prostate he is not concerned that my PSA is not going to undetectable as long as it’s stable.
Low is good.
After radiation treatment failed, I went on Lupron 7 years ago. The lowest my PSA got to in that time was .06 and the highest .27. It is currently .21.
Ready for a magical trick? Ok here goes. Pick a number from 0 to 22. I see you picked number 22. Okay you lose.... send me a check for my lucky number $49.99.....
