Has anyone experienced or have knowledge about getting DAP ( drug abuse panel ) urine tests and showing negative for opiates when you are taking opiates every day ? My GP has made me have DAP urine twice in 10 days and both come up negative. She says if I’m not using my opiates she should decrease my prescriptions. I take 3-4 Vicodin’s a day, every day, and offer one or two dilaudid 4 mg every couple of days too.
It’s flabbergasting, seems impossible... any thoughts out there ? I have another 3rd test next week.

At the insistence of wifey “ the hammer “ I did a do-over on the picture , so this photo is my friend and motorcycle brother Mike flying a Cessna 170 on my aircraft “ sim pit “ .... a sim pit is another great , isolating at home , entertainment for us PCA guys and especially those of us with impaired mobility. Great , absorbing, entertainment that compliments a oculus quest headset, PS4 etc. forms of home entertainment .
Yayahahahaya well you got that right . Wifey just retired this past October , we’re trying to get our vaccinations and get out to enjoy her retirement together while I still can. Mike loves the flight simulator, he can get on there for hours..... I’ll tell him to keep his eye on the attitude indicator and dial in his trim wheel yayahahahaya. Talk about boy toys. That is very impressive. I just got an email from Kaiser "inviting" me to schedule a covid vaccination. Tuesday it is. I'll have to cancel Xgeva shot, apparently. I expressed interest on their main web page, several times, don't know if that helped. Also signed up at myturn website. This is third floor Yosemite Conference room. Just a hop and a skip from Oncology. Much better than the fair grounds or a pharmacy, I believe. Took an hour and a half to get a blood test today. I'll try to get an appointment next time.
Me too and me too ...... what time are you going. I didn’t do anything, they just sent it to me. I went in this past Monday for a dap urine test and pick up prescriptions, and it was empty there ( holiday ) Only 2 people ahead of me and parking right in the side door circle. I got my covid notification a little earlier today and choose Tuesday as well ... waste notvwant not. . Yayahahaha great minds think alike.
I’m going in late in the afternoon , I hope they saved one for me based on my reservation yayahahahaya. Still, we’ll have to go back in a couple of weeks for the 2nd shot and wait another couple for the full effect. Supposedly we’ll still get about 60% protection and be protected from being hospitalized and / or Covid death with the first shot. Now I’ve got to get my wife vaccinated too. You and I both will feel much safer with the vaccination.
What you have to put up with is just crazy. OMG, just the thought that you might hurt yourself by taking the wrong drugs, as if you'd live 100 healthy years without them.
Something is going on. I eat norco like popcorn and they tell me that I tested clean two tests in 10 days. That’s got to be literally impossible, but it’s happening. Never mind I’m croaking and living like $hit .. let’s jump in there and mess with him even more. Yayahahahaya yayahahahaya I never ask for refills early , or abuse them in any way .... Been taking them over two years now ... whatever. Do urinate a whopping lot , thought maybe I’m cleaning myself out before they test me ... seems highly improbable.
I wish you could go to my oncologist. The nurse practitioner there knows I'm using weed and thinks it's good I have that extra option. She prescribes both opioids and benzos for me, knowing they can have additive effects, but also knowing that I know that too. It's a relationship of mutual trust built over two years of fighting cancer.
I hear you buddy. My original Kaiser GP , Dr Quinn knew I used cannabis but said considering my croaking condition , he didn’t see anything wrong with it , if it helped me. He retired and my new GP is just establishing herself and, understandably, more conservative. Kaiser’s rules say that “ anyone “ that gets more than a few pain meds and anyone getting refills has to sign a “pain management “ contract. Only people on palliative and hospice care, for the most part, even get refills. Its pretty much out of my GP’s hands. The first thing on the long list of drugs you promise not to use is cannabis yayahahahaya. My oncologist prescribes my benzos without blinking. My new GP wants to see proof that I’m using the opiates to keep prescribing them for me. See wants to see them, and nothing else, in my urine tests.
I don’t know what else to do , maybe crush them and mix them into my urine test cup yayahahahaya yayahahahaya. That’d be trippy.
I don’t feel like I should have to be Hassling with Kaiser over any of this .... for kripes sakes I already have my plate full enough putting out palliative fires ( bp, bg, skin cancer eruptions, adt daily debility, bone and esp joint pains , adt sickness etc ) .if this becomes too much to tolerate , they will drive me off the “ contract “ and maybe that’s a good thing, dunno. I want everything supervised by my GP and to be medical grade , but .....if push comes to shove, ...
Well I’m not going to say more here except I’ll be using cannabis again and I won’t be sitting around grimacing in pain either yayahahahaya yayahahahaya. I’ll leave it at that.
In defense of my GP tho .... I do go into Kaiser sporting my “ biker “ persona and I have flunked a couple urine tests back in my Dr Quinn days, over two years ago .... cannabis and “ unprescribed opiates “ yayahahahaya ( poppy seed pastry filling , the European kind yayahahahaya )
Well ....I’ve spewed and vented enough and things would probably be different if I didn’t have such vast personal resources at available. Having that gives me options and is comforting, even if I never use them personally. Still haven’t sorted the pee test debacle yayahahahaya yay
Back to the original question stoners could your LabCorp whoever's doing this maybe turn the test up a notch or down maybe your Bloods got used to it oh that's right it's a urine test well this could be really scary maybe it's all staying in your system and you ain't pissing it out
My GFR is ok at greater than 60 for both tests. and my CREAT is ok at .74 .... but my ACR micro albumin is high at over 90 .... but has been about the same for over a year. I pee about every 20 minutes but been doing that for 2years.
I thought my bathroom trips every 90 minutes were bad! I pee so much, I am chronically dehydrated, even thought I drink between 120-180 ounces of water a day. I can’t imagine 3 times an hour!
It da chits isn’t it .... I keep Orange juice “ jugs “ beside my couch, in my truck and beside my bed. I drink lots of liquids and seem to stay hydrated ok.... seems like anyway. Yayahahahaya my meds team OK with it I guess.
Same happened to me just this week. Have successfully taken 5mg methadone daily for > 1 year for restless legs syndrome. Added apalutamide 1 mo ago which caused sudden severe RLS recurrence. MD did urine tox screen before dblg methadone. Negative result.
I changed it to a head shot of mike. It’s kinda kewl to see such a die hard old biker that is so interested in modern tech. Mike is a tough guy but very intelligent and keeps up with all things tech. He loves flying drones too . He could hop right in a Cessna 170 and fly right off in one now .... he even sticks the landings. I , sadly, sold my HD Dyna super glide custom back a year ago. Had a brother motorcycle enthusiast afflicted with PCa ,had his spinal column fracture - collapse just sitting on his bagger waiting for a light to change. I didn’t want to be that guy .... my torque monster probably could have snapped bonez all over my body yayahahahaya first time in 5 decades without a Harley. I do have my e-moped Hardly-A-Davidson .....I just hope no one sees me on it yayahahahaya yayahahahaya 🛵 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️
So fill up all those orange juice jugs to the brim and bring ALL of them in for your next test. Tell the Doc to pick out anyone of the jugs for her taste test.......
p.s. If you're running short I'll send you a jug or two of mine (95% freshly squeezed). And BTW tell Mike I saw him on a NOT wanted poster.

It’s funny, wifey and I were saying exactly the same thing about the full jugs yayahahahaya yayahahahaya.
I’m going in Tuesday to pee for them again .... never seen anything like this before. Most people might be worried about opiates in their urine, just the opposite I’m worried about “ not “ having any .
I’ll bring Mike over and you can tell him yourself yayahahahaya yayahahahaya. That’d be interesting.
