Now discovered prostate cancer on 3/2017, removed on 6/17. Psa going up on 8/17, and radiation on 11&12/2017. Good for 2 years, but now at .4 and taking Lupron (just Started). Wondering what people think of castration vs chemical castration. Pet scan shows spot on one lymph node and where urethra attached to bladder. Polaris was 5. Thanks

Psa rising and on Lupron. Thinking about castration and looking for advice.
If the spot was on a pelvic LN, you can try getting all your pelvic LNs irradiated, in addition to the SBRT to the single site on your bladder neck.
The only reason to not have an orchiectomy is if you foresee ADT vacations.

Coming up to 6 years diagnosed with a chart topping Gleason 10 tumor contained but bet the cells are a roam'n just looking for a fertile "Location - Location - Location" to settle. Glad the boys are gone and NO REGRETS.
