Try melatonin, but be aware not all melatonin is the same. Some made me jittery. If you would like to know the melatonin I take send me a chat message.

Here is a list of things which help with sleep:

(1) Sleep Hygiene measures: Quiet room...Dark ,not even computer light blinking blue,

No Coffee, Tea or Cola before 4 hours before sleep time , Deep breathing relaxation exercises, tranquil music at bedtime (No junk news) etc.

(2) Natural substances: 5-HTP, CBD oil, Melatonin etc.

(3) Medicines: Trazodone, Temazepam, Zolpidem, Lunesta ,other SSRI meds,if anxiety and depression symptoms present.

Discuss all options with your Doctors.

Thanks He’s fatigued but feels wired and dose off then seems to have restless legs startled and then back awake over and over.

Restless leg will definitely cause sleep issues. I take Mirapex (by prescription) before bed time. Have been using for several years with amazing results.

I have been using Ambien quite a lot lately! Half a 10mg pill. Takes about an hour to drift off. Good luck!

Rob: Ambien really IS amazing.

I use Zolpiden (Ambien) during first week after infusion, then back off until next infusion. They're 10 mg and sometimes I break them in half and it's enough.

It sounds like his fatigue is paradoxically making him overtired. His oncologist may be able to make the case with his insurance that he needs Nubeqa instead of Erleada. Nubeqa may be less fatiguing.

Can Nubequa be used if he is castration sensitive? He is on luprion and erleada labs are all good just lots of fatigue

It isn't FDA-approved for that, so insurance will probably not allow it. His oncologist may be able to appeal the decision.

I have tried them all and have settled on tamazepam for the the past 5 years. It numbs the brain and knocks me out fast. A controlled substance that will normally only be prescribed by a sleep specialist after trying everything else mentioned by others.

For some people High THC works better than high CBD. Dream in full color.

My original post got lost so I will repeat a condensed version. When you close your eyes to go to sleep, build a log cabin in your mind. Use any equipment but build it by yourself. First the foundation and then story by story. I never get past the first floor. No Meds... Just Beds.....

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

I have had great luck with marijuana products, edible right before bedtime then smoke before lying down to sleep. Sleep like a baby every night

Cannabis is beneficial for many, but finding the strain and dosage that works for you can be a bit challenging. My husband also gets insomnia from Lupron--he actually gets Eligard instead, which causes fewer sleep disturbances. "They" say the drugs are exactly the same but they are not ;-)

For sleep, edibles are considered better than smoking/vaping: the effect lasts longer, though it comes on slower (30-90 minutes after ingesting). The conventional wisdom is that Indica-dominant strains are better for relaxation & sleep, Sativa-dominant are more energizing. He's found that a balanced 50/50 THC/CBD ratio is best for both pain and sleep disturbance.

Good luck!
