Lupron, Eligard, Lupron Depot, and Viadur are trade names for Leuprolide. In some cases, health care professionals may use the trade names Lupron, Eligard, Lupron Depot, and Viadur when referring to the generic drug name Leuprolide.

My next inj is 9/23 so I messaged ahead of time and they confirmed I might get Eligard this time. I asked if they confirmed it won't be an issue with my cheap insurance company and no response yet.

I've been getting Eligard for the past 3 years. I do prefer it to Lupron.

The injection pain goes away faster and it works just as well.

I had the 6 month Eligard today to the fatty subcutaneous area of my stomach. Relatively no injection site pain. More importantly none of the super muscle pain in the butt I get with the intermuscular lupron butt injection that persists for several days😊

The one month Lupron shot has no negative effect to the injection site.

Ive been getting the 3 month Lupron depot, now I’ve been changed to the one month until further notice. Kaiser says the other doses aren’t available. It just means lots more trips into the Covid zone for me.

And running faster through the zone.... "Feets don't fail me now!"

(or rev up the scooter - and don't meddle with my pedal)

Yayahahahaya yayahahahaya that’s the truth. My wifey pushes me in one of those chairs with wheels when at Kaiser. One tough old bird with osteoarthritis .... I’d swear she runs me ( my feet or elbows ) into stuff more when she’s got a case of the a$$ ( most of the time anymore ) than at other times. Payback is a mother ... the mother of my daughter making the payments .... in this case yayahahahaya

😂😂😂😂😂

Payback: Threaten her with divorce for spousal abuse.... this way she won't have anyone to torture.....and nothing worse than a sadist with noone to torture... Doubt me? Ask my ex-wife....

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

Yayahahahaya yayahahahaya. It’s a good idea but this is California, a community property state .... she’d just stall in court the short time until I croak .. then not have to mess with anything. She’s a smart cookie that has run my life for 44 years .

In all fairness ( in case she reads this or someone tells her ) , she does take very good care of me. She’s been taking good PCa care and especially when this skin cancer mess on my forehead went sideways. Absolutely no snuggling or getting too friendly with her tho ... she’s quick and violent to remind me when I forget or kinda cross her rigid “ arms length “ imaginary line yayahahahaya still , she’s a caring and wonderful companion / good friend. That means a lot under the croaker circumstances.

😂😂😂😂🌈🌻🦋🌼🌵

Well you hit the jackpot.... or as we use to say "jack hit me with some pot"..... She must be a smart cookie..... she married you... 44 years of marriage is the equivalent to sharing an air conditioned room with the late Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun from 1325 BC until the present day (minus a couple of weekends). I need some Greek yogurt....

I was eating some greek yogurt from the fridge last night ... wifey came over and took it away from me.

Said it was some bean soup left in there about three months ago .... I thought green fuzzy part looked unusual , probably just fruit on the bottom.

🤢🤢🤢😂😂😂😂😂❤️

LOL................buy more bean soup if you need a green shaggy rug....

Just had my shot and the Lupron was not available ,got the Eligard instead.

I received my replacement Eligard shot on Sept 8 and have a small lump , the size of kidney bean at injection site. The nurse says put a hot compress on it 3 times a day. Not going away.

It is time release, the small lump will shrink.

never happened with the 1 month Lupron shot

I had an Eligard shot yesterday and aside from a slight burning sensation during the injection to my stomach it is painless. Actually less painful than Lupron which normally causes some stiffness and aching.

Had a 3-month Lupron shot a few days ago in Baton Rouge. I asked the nurse who stuck me about the shortage, and she said she was not aware of it.

My RO said it was due to a factory closure.

The factory changed over to making face masks (follow the money).....

UCLA out of 3 month.Lupron Received Eligard instead last week. Stomach sounded scary so I got it in the buttock where I usually get the Lupron. Less residual pain than the Lupron injection. So far no difference.

Hi I'm wondering when I get to the last several months of my 2 year ADT (Lupron / Eligard) begun before salvage radiation.

If I switched over to the one month firmigon shots would my testostone recover quicker upon ending ADT than staying on Lupron/Eligard for that final 3 or 4 month injection.

Here in Upstate NY the Lupron shortage is finally hitting. My MO yesterday said they were out of the 3-month dosage but had the 4-month or I could switch back to 3-month Eligard. I went with the 4-month Lupron.

I seem to be the odd one in the group because I prefer Lupron. I used to get 3-month Eligard injections in my stomach area. The kidney bean size deposit would get a little smaller over time but never seemed to go away and were painful if they were bumped. Months after switching to Lupron (in my hip/butt), I could still feel 3 or 4 of the Eligard bumps.

For me, any minor soreness from Lupron is gone the next day.
