Abiraterone 250mg shortage?

Anyone having trouble getting their Abiraterone Acetate 250mg. Rx filled lately?

In mid January the Mail Order pharmacy my MO got me started with requested my Rx get switched to 500mg. tabs because of a nationwide shortage of the 250mg. tabs. My copay for the 500mg is 15 TIMES what it was for 250mg. CRAZY!

I was using Apotex brand and pharmacy had none. After a stupid argument I got a different brand. In the meantime I called Apotex and the were out of stock in manufacturing. Happy to say I got Apotex back now. I like Apotex because of copay assistance. The other brand, had no assistance

The shortage hasn't occurred here yet. Was the 250mg generic and the 500mg not? (On a side note, I preferred the coated 500mg non generic to the generic 250's I was switched to by my insurance company. )

That is because the 500mg is the brand med. The 250's (for whatever reason) is generic. Seriously! See the post I just put up a few minutes ago.
