This is my first post I'm 68 year old Aussie and after many years of normal range PSA levels, it suddenly went out of control. In March 2019 it was 2 then in March 2020 it went to 177, I had no systems.

After scans, x-rays I was diagnosed with Advance Prostate Cancer with mets in bones, scrum, pelvis hips and spine.

Commenced Eligard 6 monthly in April 2020 and in June commenced 20 sessions of radiation.

Now I have been accepted into a international clinical trial of Xtandi tablets 140mg every day and 3 weekly infusion of either Keytrunda or placebo so far 2 cycles with some usual side effects

My PSA has now reduced to 3 which my oncologist is happy with

I'm being highly monitored with blood tests and scans and x-rays.

Has anyone out there been on a similar journey of treatment and if so what can I expect going forward.

A few more details will be helpful: what was your Gleason score? What is the name of the clinical trial? Are you in the country other than the United States which has a national health system guiding your choice of treatments or trials?

My Gleason score was a 9, my clinical trial is being conducted in Queensland Australia and is 100% privately funded by Merck Pharmaceutical I think the study number is KEYNOTE-991

I had a similar discovery PSA 156 but my route has been Lupron, Zytiga w prednisone and EBRT radiation 44 treatments. Imaging found enlarged pelvic lymphnodes only but Drs all expected something else was there. I was a bit younger at 56.

Hello Sebara,

''In March 2019 it was 2 then in March 2020 it went to 177".......

Wow that is one hell of an increase. New doctor or new Lab? Something sounds fishy there if he had his psa checked yearly. I know that is in the past and we should not look back, but here in the States we are a litigious society and we sue at the drop of a hat. Regards to both of you and you have come to the right place. Keep posting....
