Hello everyone, I haven't been on here for a while, long story short my husband diagnosed in 2016 aggressive cancer already spread to pelvic, had radio and hormone injections, after radio he couldn't cope with injections so was advised ok to stop at min ,that was in march 2017 , still getting check ups every three months ,then in 2018 around may I think I'm sorry so much goes on my mind can't contain it all .my husband started having horrendous headaches which wouldn't leave him ,he had scan test by the june dr said may need radiotherapy or maybe could operate this time ,so we thought well we got threw it before im sure I can get hi. Threw this ,so waited for biopsies in mean time ,I rang rang still on waiting list ,so next appointment came Keith had been in hospital with headaches, he was seen had head scan that evening we were told he was terminal! Gone to his skull, to say we were devastated was understatement, keith refused treatment I ended up going to hospital appointment without him sort things out ,he then agreed to chemo starting in march 2019 he had that was fine ,he was given six month if no treatment maybe 18 month with .his psa is on up up and 18 months is up ,im hoping there is more treatment out there ,does anyone have any ideas please

That is a very sad story. Is he still rejecting hormone therapy? There aren't many treatments that do not involve hormone therapy.

If he does not cope with injections, he may use a different form of ADT: Bicalutamide tablets.

Hello he did start those on top of his injection but his headaches worsened also pressure on his left eye and they made his blood pressure go up more ,its all very complicated, very sad

ADT is considered the cornerstone of prostate cancer treatment. If this cannot be used the tumor is not controlled.

All I can come up with then is Dexamethasone. This will make him feel better and reduce the pain. It may also help against the cancer for some time. Please click on the links for the details:

Dexamethasone is usually used when ADT does not work anymore (refractory/resistant). But it will also work when no ADT can be used.

I would give Bicalutamide a try. I wrote a paper on side effects of ADT and from what I can say, the side effects are most probably caused by the injections, they increase over time. Bicalutamide alone has very low side effects and would work against the cancer now.

Consider an over the counter Remedy available from Allstarhealth.com called IP6. I use the powder from enzymatic therapy. See my previous posts on this anti-cancer remedy. It is capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier. I have been using it since 2015.

I am a 2012 Gleason eight survivor. I would recommend five scoops of IP6 twice daily. The scoop is provided. Mix in Coldwater and vigorously shake in a closed container. It should be going into an empty stomach. That means no food for two hours. Good luck and God bless you both.

Hi Julie! I’m sorry for Keith’s current decline. Any crazy things are possible with an advanced pc running hot . Miracles are possible .. we were lost my first year of treatments. I relate to that being lost feeling. Covid is a brutal reality for us all now. IM sorry that you can’t see him. My mom in law just got out of hospital s after 6 weeks being cut off from

Family. Doc say there is nothing more that they can do for her . Home hospice. She’s back home for two weeks now and looks better . Not to be crude , but for most of us we’d prefer to be at home in the end. Hospitals are so cold . I Hope that you can get him back home . 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Thank you for sharing. Pray for mercy .🕊
