I just wanted to connect again with my P>C> brothers out there about whats going on with me in case anyone else might be interested in this.I am 12years out since my operation a year ago my psa started to climb. i had Two auximin scans mri bone scan no sign of cancer anywhere. PSA still on the rise. After going through these tests i found out that i qualified foe a clinical study at uw carbone cancer center in madison wi. They told me i was the perfect candidate for this study if i chose to go this route. I chose to go for it instead of going on lupron or zytiga just to lower my psa. I started my first treatment this past monday the 23d. I first had labs to check my blood work then met with one of the six doctors on this team. all good to go. I first had two sots in my left arm top side then had to wait one hour. The shots where(pTVG-HP) new cancer drug. Then i had a drip of Nivolumab for 30 mins. This will happen every other week for 6 weeks then once every 30 days after that. The idea of this is to ramp up my immune system have it track down any non showing cancer cells and either take them out or just slow any progression down. side effects i had a little fever the day i came home and a little diarrhea the next day. in case your wondering my psa is at 6.6 as of monday. If you want to read more about this go to uw madison hospital carbone cancer clinical trials. stay healthy brothers hope this helps out.

“Guinea pigs have my admiration and know that you are taking a giant step for the rest of us.” Told to me when I started a clinical trial in 2004.

Keep killing the bastards.

Thanks John we'll see what happens

No, it was a six month Phase II trial of Chemotherapy plus Hormone treatment. The infusions were weekly alternated with Taxotere and Adrimyacin for a six week cycle. Off two weeks and repeat. There were three cycles. Additionally there were two orals each paired with an infusion drug. Erustamine and Ketoconazol. And daily for rage 180 days, 30 mg of Prednisone. All repurposed drugs. Not exactly SOC.
