My love and all positive vibes to all of you and loved ones.
I thought I post an update on my journey so far. Since I last posted, my PSA has gone up to 5.38 on Dec 20, 2019.
Met with my oncologist at NCC Singapore on January 6 and was told that they will want me to go on Zytiga soon. So they asked me to wait and see the next PSA count due in March 2020 and they will want to do some scans and put me on Zytiga+ Predisone and continue Lucrin.
As for me, ever since Dec, I have totally been on plant based diet and have avoided all sugar, diary except low fat cheese and no meat and poultry. But my only indulgence is my coffee with milk but no sugar and boiled tea with milk but no sugar. Been walking every week day around 3-4 km as a form of exercise. As of January 1, I am retired after 37 years of civil service worK.
Now on the intimate side, remember I unabashedly asked about taking Ciallis and if it would affect my cancer. Well managed to get my Ciallis but but my wonderful wife is afraid of me trying it and so bros.,,Hahaha not had sex as yet. Respect her wishes but we been hugging a lot and are very loving and caring. She is so afraid of losing me and I am so afraid of losing me too...
Since my diagnosis was in 2017, October, just to refresh a bit here, have done 6 cycles of Chemo which ended on April 2018. Been inoculated withLucrin every 3 monthly. So if I do my sums right, I am 2 years and 4 months into this challenging and blessed journey.
Any words of wisdom, advise or just a chat or some great news is greatly welcomed.
Take good care and my very best to all.
Thanks
Haniff

I once read that the only thing anyone can control in life is their attitude. You are living proof of this! Well done!
We are all praying for you and your wife on your journey!
A couple of thoughts. No reason for your wife to fear you taking Cialis. Hope it works! Also, I’d take Zytiga + Prednisone as soon as possible. It worked well - and immediately - for me. I hope it does the same for you!
Keep up the positive attitude! Every day is precious ... might as well be a happy one!
Thanks for the positive vibes, Bro. Hahaha yes slowly but surely I am trying to get my lovely wife onto a little mating...have been doing the mating dance since I watched a National Geographic documentary 😉
Yup I think most probably my good doctors will put me on Zytiga and Prednisone. I am just hanging out till March, my next PSA count, before I start.
Take good care, my love to you and yours and my very best to you. Stay in touch.
Just because you can’t put a sail on a mast that won’t raise ... doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of “ motor powered “ ways to sail away to fun places ...
That’s a fallacy! I’ve been on constant adt five years now plus I chopped the boys in 2017 . I get night wood each night after more than a year when I got that blasted foley out . By day he sleeps . The night rider.. now if I can coax my bride from her side of the bed.? My prob with the night wood is it revolves around a piss hard on followed by night sweats then a chill out . I stay away from her so as not to interrupt her nightly sleep like mine already is .Adt or just plain having no testosterone takes all thoughts of sex away during daylight hours. Peace to you .😂
Great attitude and diet. Keep up the good fight. A doctor told me a long long time ago if you can find the bright side of cancer it is half the battle.
I have always felt that cancer was my wake up call. I was going through life on autopilot. I learned to wake up and appreciate each day. I took full stock of my life. As a Socrates said "know thyself".
Yup when I was first diagnosed, I cried like crazy and kept disturbing every one and every doctor seeking my mortality rate. Until an experienced genteel doctor held my hand and told me,”You have been given a chance to enjoy your life as you will not have done had you stayed in the same old path. Why you? Why not you! You want this to happen to someone else you love or take the good burden and challenge upon yourself. Put yourself together and be thankful for the rest of your life.”
I learned that day, this illness of mine will be with me till my last breath. So I do the next best now and enjoy each glorious day and laugh as much as I can. Everything in moderation and walk with Life calmly and without fear.
Diagnosed 09/11/2019 (58 years old), PSA 1000+ with extensive pelvic and vertebrae metastasis. Continuing the same treatments as you, current PSA <0.02 and T effectively Zero!
So, being happily married, been a concern, Jr does not go into deep hibernation. Up to about six months on ADT and Zytiga, with some help from wife's abilities, Jr was able to perform, albeit at a reduce capacity. We're blessed with a wonderful wife, so it can happen, because patience and no fear of rejection!
Now, after almost a year with ADT+, Jr needs a boost from Sildenafil 100mg weekly regimate to reboot. The use it or loose it applies there.
Before PCa diagnosis, was planning to move to Philippines, obviously taking a delay at the moment. But, eventually will want to move from Boston area, thinking Singapore would have veteran specialize PCa oncologists, what do you say?
While Singapore is fantastic, it does have its quirky nature. The doctors here are not so gung-ho to try everything at one go plus the cost of medical here is pretty high. But this is my opinion. I myself am on government subsidy having served as a civil officer for 37 years. So I am well compensated.
Thanks Bro and my very best to you and loved ones.
Good question. Will check with her. Nah, just teasing Allen. She actually is more afraid that I may be disappointed with my poor ( perhaps) performance plus she also has her own issues since she has hit the damn Menopause wall (Man Pause 😉)
But basically she just needs some time, I am waiting patiently.
My best to you and my great love and admiration for all your fantastic sharing with all of us, all the time.
