So is the proper destination Dr. Buam or is it Bad Berka???
That’s a good question. I’ve asked this of Dr Drake and waiting for a response. I’m thinking it might be better to follow “the guy” to Wiesbaden.
Just curious Rex, when you did the C-11 choline with Kwon in Feb 2015 and showed showed multiple nodes, why no SBRT radiation to the spots?
Dr Myers did not recommend radiation therapy to retroperitoneal nodes due to the possibility of immune suppression. Dr Kwon did not mention radiation therapy either, and recommended chemotherapy. Dr Myers said I did not need chemo with the low volume of my disease, and said he could get me into remission with adt alone.
I like both drs and trust their judgements but the problem I have with this disease is that no one really knows. I have been treated with the best dr. ( as everyone says), great surgeon, good RO and excellent MO but none of them had any successful outcome, what a shame.
Prof. Baum was the brain of the radionuclear department at Bad Berka. Now the best doctor in his former team, Dr. Kulkarni, is running this department at Bad Berka. If you want to get a Lu177 or Lu177/Ac225 treatment I think you can have that at both locations now. Wiesbaden is closer to the Frankfurt airport while Bad Berka is "in the middle of nowhere".
For those that may not have the $$ Fortis Hospital in Gurgaon, New Delhi, India offers both Lu177 and Ac225, however not together as of 3 months ago. Lu177 is $14K for everything for 3 treatments including scans etc. PSMA PET scans in India is standard of care. I strongly considered it but went with a prostatectomy instead. Hope I never have to revisit it. PSA of <0.01 last check. For now I'm OK, but have no illusions about this beast. Just glad to be off Lupron for 4 years now.
I hope to go to Heidelberg (Uwe Haberkorn 06221 56-7731) because I'm interested in the new stuff they're working on. That seems to be the source of the innovation. We've also tapped into the expertise of Matthias Eiber in Munich. I've been very impressed with Michael Hofman at Peter Mac in Melbourne. We may imitate one of his clinical trials.
Hi TA. I just wondered if you had any joy with Heidelberg (I'm guessing you did not visit due to Covid) and if so, are you able to provide a update on the new stuff they are working on? Same with Peter Mac centre in Australia, are you able to provide a update on the replication of the trial. Thank you. Graham
I always thought that was a gigantic cannon the German's used in WWI...
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
