Hi folks, I am 63 and was diagnosed in May 2016. I was on Xtandi for two years, and have been on Zytiga for about two months. Throughout this time I’ve had to urinate more and more frequently. I take Flomax every night, so I only have to pee 2 to 3 times every night. However, during the day it seems like I have to pee every 30 minutes. Sometimes only every 20 minutes especially if I get just a little bit anxious. I even need to pee now! I’m considering using depends, but it seems like a drastic step. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Thank you are

Inconvenience/depends? Zytiga plus prednisone
Not sure how it would apply to you but my “p-profile” was similar to yours. Flow max knocked down my nighttime trips to the head to one or two. I was still peeing frequently during the day but that mostly went away after IMRT to my prostate.
Maybe you have a UTI? Have you had a cystoscopy?
I used to tie it in a knot but now I use a cork from a wine bottle. William is now Willy....
Well beat your TOM-TOM signalling for a GOOD urologist...(tell us where your located and maybe a member here can refer to a good one)...
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

I was diagnosed in 2011. Gleason 8. Had radiation. I had salvage cryotherapy in 2017 plus lupron. The salvage treatment resulted in minor incontinence. However as time went by my incontinence increased. The nerves that control my bladder and my bowel are badly damaged. I now use a pad when I am leaving the house. Over time the bowel has been damaged from the radiation in 2011. The result is frequent diarrhea. I take imodium D to help control the diarrhea. But the good news is Lupron is still working to keep my PSA undetectable (less than .05) at least until the next PSA test
Penile clamp. My husband has tried two different manufacturers and prefers the Bard brand. There are three sizes—daytime use only.
I use Vesicare , you may have a stricture, talk to your urologist
Depends are super pricey. Depends guards are cheaper but still a lot of money. Dollar Tree store female Assured Overnight Maxi Pads, 8-ct are cheap for urinary incontinence. I go through 4 pads every 24 hours. I have a Dollar Tree store here but these can be ordered online by the case: 24 packs for $24 for 192 pads.
My husband had the same issues with the Zytiga. Was up all night peeing and all day. Plus a million other side effects from it. The doctor had him stop taking it for three weeks to see if the Zytiga was the issue. After about 4 days his symptoms started to go away. Now after three weeks they are gone. Went to the oncologist on Wednesday for his Lupron and he suggested trying to take a half dose. So we are trying that and will know in a few days if it will work. Next step if this fails is chemo. Good luck to you.
My hubby developed a UTI after 3 months on Zytiga. Gonna call oncologist to see about reducing dosage.
