My 3 hour surgery was completed on Thursday morning without any complications or surprises. The docs, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff at Fox Chase Cancer Center were first class. My wife had to drive me home in rush hour Philadelphia traffic on Friday afternoon. I had a catheter leg bag on that needed emptying half way home. Fortunately someone on this forum had talked about their experience going home and I was prepared with a capped urinal. I go back next Wednesday to have the catheter removed just in time for Turkey day.

Been 8 weeks this coming monday for me. I had complete removal. Along with seminal vesicles and 3 surrounding lymph nodes.
My prostate was completely shot..no salvage...
I'm not feeling the love yet for any of the recoup process.
Incontinence and the ED.... Theses they say should go with time.
I have learned secrets on my own. The depend pull ups are like 17.00 for 28. The guards same brand 12.00 for 52.00....
If you are active and once moving again.. buy both. Put a guard inside the pullup. And put a guard in your pocket. This way.. when the guard fills up.. you take it out.. and either replace if staying active ir.. take it out and use just the pullup. I usually get to use 2 pads to one pullup...
You will be so glad you did this. Especially with some of the dirty restrooms and not having to fully undress while out or up and active over holidays.
Keep the positive attitude. Also I've got a good Dr. Dont wait forever to start the VED therapy. That gets the blood back into the penis...
