Relief from Fever

Seems like whatever was going on has passed.

John woke up with normal temperature and no spiking happening today. Previous days it was on its way up by noon.

Thanks for all your kind responses. We will see Dr Tagawa Tuesday and probably also talk to Dr Sweeney (Dana Farber) Monday

Maybe they can shed light on the mystery

We recently were hospitalized for fever of unknown origin-

Thought it may be neutropenia-

Just had chemo taxotere and spiked fever-

But turns out if you have Mets you can have what they call a tumor fever.

Nevertheless they kept me for 5 days and released- and I felt great when I got out -

Blood transfusions IV fluids- lots of potassium .

Works great!

That sounds just like what I need. 5 days in a hospital. Pumped full of fluids and a balanced diet. 5 days away from my wicked ways. I'd probably come out looking like Popeye the Sailor. Or possibly Olive Oyl. Enjoy.

Yuppers when they took my prostate out at MD Anderson the main hospital was great. One nurse for every two or three rooms...the food and menu was the best....and you could get what you wanted when you wanted..they had servers with red bow ties...anything you could dream of with in reason.....I was bummed when they checked me out to send me back to the Rotary House which is a Marriott property...their room service not as good and much more limited...
