Anyone else getting Firmagon injections having to deal with a fever during the 24 hours after the injection? Tylenol seems to take care of it. Just curious what anyone else’s experiences were.
PSA is undetectable (<0.02).
Been on Firmagon for three years almost. Was off for 10 months after RP. Started again before radiation. That’s when fevers started. Gleason 9.

Hey OldChappy ! My first shot was firmagon . It took my Psa away . I don’t remember any pain or fever but I was in an state of pain anyway back then . I’m on a pill form adt undetectable five years now .. firmagon in my opinion is effective and worth a little pain . I hope that you live many years with QOL and happiness ..
Thanks!!! Yes, I feel as if the Firmagon is doing what it’s supposed to. I was just curious if anyone else was experiencing the same thing. I too hope you live many years with happiness and QOL!!
I’m sure most men experience adt somewhat differently.. yet chemical or physical castration both drive our decline while extending our stay here a bit longer? I wouldn’t be here today without adt . Doing so well that no one wants me to drop it .? I have had so many random pains in bones and muscles . Still do .. all from adt eating both muscle and bones .. I hope that the firmagon stamps down the pc for many years .Some happiness and some QOL ? I’ll take what I can get .. 🎄
My husband has been on either Lupron or Firmagon for almost 6 years. Last month he got a fever and severe chills a few hours after the shot (first time it's happened).
I have been on Firmagon for 22 months and had no fever or chills. Ten hours after getting my shot in November, I developed severe chills and woke up that night with a fever. Thinking I had COVID, I was tested and the test came back negative. I then thought I caught some kind of 24-hour bug. For my December Firmagon shot, the same chills and fever occurred! I told my MO and he recommended I switch to Eligard.
