Diagnosed in Dec. 2005. good for several years, then had a spike in PSA. 7 weeks of radiation. Good for a few more years, then another spike. Radiation for 5 weeks, Lupron, Zytiga, Prednisone. Had metastasis of 3 lymph nodes which were gone after the last described treatment.
Sheba Hospital in Tel Aviv was must named as one of the ten top hospitals in the world!
I went there last year, and got excellent treatment. They developed a treatment plan which I brought back to my Stateside oncologist. It’s a plan I am now on.
I am stabilized, no sign of cancer! Plan on continuing ADT, Zytiga and Prednisone for a total of two years. (14 months to go)!!
That’s the new standard of care plan here too for your situation. It matches what I am on now. Nothing else I assume ? How did they come up with the 2 year regimen? Is their advise to stop in two years predicated on achieving a non detectable PSA reading ? Is the plan then to monitor your PSA to see if and when you’d need to restart treatments?
Exactly. As we all know, cancer comes back in 30 -35% of all men who have had a their prostate removed. I’m sure that if mine comes back, they will find another “treatment”
Know him. He didn't treat me directly but one of his staff Doctors did. but he was kind enough to come to see how was I doing after I went thru gold seed insertion + gel.
