Good morning my Brothers, today I start my Provenge treatments . I don't think I have the same mindset from when I was first diagnosed with the Beast. We all go through the gambit of rollercoaster emotions, but I know it's a fight to the end. I am kind of looking forward to this treatment sounds crazy right but I am. My number are all still good PSA still 0.1 but Doc says now's the time and I trust him litteraly with my life. So wish me luck my Brothers and remember. Never give up never surrender. Leo

Will do!!!

Welcome to my world. Had Provenge treatment this past March 2019. Only real side effect for me was some nausea for about two weeks after.

Hey Leo… I just finished my Provenge two weeks ago ! Not sure if you’re trying the IV or the catheter method but if you have any trouble with the IV, certainly don’t worry about it and get the catheter. It’s a very simple procedure and gives you 100% chance of success with the filtering and then the infusion. It also gives you a lot of mobility .

Like me, you’ll have to wait for to six weeks to see what the results are 😄

I have had Provenge a few years ago. Worked well for me. Good luck, keep fighting.

If you are contemplating chemo or SBRT to mets, now would be a good time. I suspect they synergize with Provenge.

Hi Leo,

By now you should have completed your Leukapheresis procedure #1. How did it go? Anything about it you would like to share? Or any new questions, based on your initial experience?

It won't be long until you get your treated cells back as "Provenge" for re-infusion.

Hope all goes very well for you.

Charles

Thanks for asking it went well only thing that was stressful is I had to go to the bathroom but couldn't move so needles to say that was an ordeal. All in all it was not bad I wound up with a terrible headache but I think that was the stress level from the bathroom part. I drove myself home and ate a terrific dinner at a local restaurant went home took a nice shower and just relaxed. Today I feel fine just a little residual from the killer headache. I have a practice scheduled for my Accapela group tonight so that is my stress relief. Never give up never surrender. Leo
