I am once again going under the scope , A radical prospectomy 8/2019 currently keeping PSA non existent for one year with lupron and zytiga its been fantastic. Although several other health issues as a result of excess weight 100 lbs plus. Type 2 diabetes etc. All of my docs say move forward the benefits out weigh the risks. But do they??? I wonder if anyone has heard of anybody having gastric bypass while being treated for prostate cancer. The actual surgury is concerning considering its major, as was my rad prostate. I have recently lost 24 lbs although i have plateaued and gained water back and lost back and forth. Does anybody know of any outcomes from this combination of surguries. I currently walk daily eat right. Will my weight loss be hampered by my therapy.whats your take. Thanks in advance.

Metabolic syndrome is a risk factor for recurrence. It also increases your risk of dying of CV disease.

Pura Vida! My year is 61 also.. walking is good . Maybe more cardio is needed daily .? Finding energy on adt is tuff! What do the doctors say about bypass? Have you done no sugar , processed food , no dairy , no meat , lots of veggies .. ? I’m too thin ,the opposite ..Hope that you can turn this weight issue around soon . Your heart depends on it .... ! Buenas Suerte ! Salud Amigo !

Pura! Vida yes i it only organic and tried all the diets can only manage 20lbs here and there. I lost 80lbs a few years ago on atkins to only gain it back i golf walk and swim. The first 35 years of life i was in the fitness industry for 20 years. Its become much more difficult. Thankyou.

Speaking of Heroes, I could go for one right now..... Italian salami, provolone cheese deli mustard on a Hero bread. Other parts of the US they call them Subs, Torpedoes, grinders or hoagies.... but they all are great.

As long as Uncle Hilarious approves. I used to love the Olive loaf , pickle loaf and liverwurst . Great Russian delis in SF.
