My husband just got his first shot of xofigo, does anyone have experience with this?

Many men handle Xofigo with limited side effects. Watch for things the doctor warned about, and best to both of you.

My husband just finished his 6th treatment. For a few days after treatment he had some diarrhea with it but that’s actually how the Xofigo gets out of your body. Sometimes he was a little tired from his low RBC count and we believe the treatment was part of the problem. But all in all that’s about the only problems he had with it. Good luck with the treatments.

That was the last stage in my husbands treatment (10 rounds Jevtana, Lupron, Zytiga w/prednisone, 6 rounds Xofigo), now in remission!! Side effects from Xofigo were as others have stated, we found it helped to stay well hydrated, a diet of foods that help boost RBC's and rest... stay strong!!

If you are into the technical details, you might want to keep close track on the results of his blood work, before each cycle, and as his "numbers" may recover before starting the next cycle. See also Sections 5 and 6 of the Full Prescribing Information.
