Does anybody know or have been treated by doctor Charles drake
Hello,
I have never been treated by Dr. Drake but I have heard him talk on several occasions at the PCRI Conference in Los Angeles. The last time, I think was 2015. Very knowledgeable doctor who is one of America's experts in the field of immunology. He has initiated several trials focusing on cancer vaccines and on immune checkpoint blockades. Dr. Drake is (or was) the co-director of the multidisciplinary Prostate Cancer Clinic at Hopkins. Good luck!
Bob,
I've read his background, very impressive. If you have the $800 bucks, why not brother. This Monday will have a phone consult with Dr Robert Leibowitz, AKA Dr Bob, this will cost me $500 bucks.
Our docs are from Dana-Farber, so we're fortunate - but we both feel uneasy because of their "standard of care" regimen, because it's leading from behind care.
We seek to get out in front!
Anyway, I'm preparing my agenda for the Dr Bob consult, please do the same and detail all concerns in writing before your visit to NYC...
If you are going to NY, you could consider consulting with :
Dr William Oh

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed?ter...
Dr Michael Morris
mskcc.org/cancer-care/docto...
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?te...
Dr Philip Kantoff

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?te...
They are considered top notch doctors specialized in research and treatment of prostate cancer. I have consulted with Dr. Oh 15 years ago when he was at Dana Farber CC in Boston and recently with Dr. Morris. Both are very good.
I am a pt of dr Drake. Many of Snuffy’s patients were referred to dr Drake, who snuffy said was a younger smarter version of himself. I think dr Drake is brilliant, especially in regards to immunotherapy. He received his PhD in immunology before he went to med school. He is well connected to others in his field. He initiates many clinical trials - I’m in one now. He practices at Columbia which I think is top notch. And he has great bedside manner. Not arrogant or pretentious at all. Will answer all your questions in great detail. He treats me like a brother, really. Can’t say enough about the man.

A note of advice: If you plan to take the subway to Columbia for the visit to Drake I believe the #1 line that follows Broadway, and is the direct line to the building, may be under repairs and out of service for some time this year including at the 168th street station for the hospital and office. If so take the A line along the west side of Central Park and to 168th. Please refer to online sources for latest information about this work and timing of closures.
My dad just saw Dr. Drake for the first time last month. Great to talk to, answers all questions, and his staff was excellent as well.
My next appointment with him is on the 23rd. We struck it off quite well since his first degree was in electrical engineering, specifically on semiconductor processing - somthing I have a bit of experience with. And he's a motorcyclist at times.
VERY bright, very friendly and personable, and will explain things so you understand. Bob, maybe I'll see you in the waiting room (he only sees patients on Tuesdays) - i'm his 12:30PM appointment.
That would be wonderful my appointment is for two
Awesome doctor great bedside manner. Had a consult with him. At the end of the day we went with Dr Oh at Mt Sinai

Is Dr. Drake related to Donald?
