My husband has had 6 cycles of Docetaxel . He’s had biclutamide and Lupron since diagnosis 1/2017. Zytiga for a short while ( terrible side effects) switched to Xtandi in August of 2018 at last 3 PSA were 1.0 October, 1.6 December and1.9 February. I’m not sure what treatment options are left?

He can rechallenge Docetaxel if it's been more than 6 months, longer is better. And there is a second-line chemotherapy called Jevtana (Cabazitaxel) that's better for neuropathy if that is or becomes a problem. There is also Xofigo (radium 223) but that only works on bone mets. There is another up-and-coming radionuclide called LU-177 that is showing promise in clinical trials. Many are going to Germany to get treatment since it is not yet FDA approved. There are also various clinical trials. It's also a good time now to discuss having genetic testing done to see if there is a mutation that is treatable such as BRCA 1, BRCA 2 or ATM. These can be treated with PARP inhibitors. Don't lose hope, there are still treatment options available.

Thank you! He’s 49 so I’m hoping he can keep squeezing out more time.

Check for radiographic progression as well. Other approved therapies include Xofigo, Provenge, Jevtana, and estrogen patches. What clinical trials are you looking at?

Don’t give up, my Doctor said that there are a lot of treatments available when the pills quit working including chemo again. I’m sure Tall Allen will have more technical answers. Fight this monster 🙏🙏🙏🙏
