Female Hormone Treatment for ED??

Just left a meeting with a therapist on a mental health check-up. Hoping to reign in some sporadic anger/impatience issues which is probably not linked to post-RP surgery and six months of impotence. The counselor (admittedly not a physician) mentioned a hormone "pellet" which is being prescribed by OB-GYNs for male sexual health. This sounds a little too good to be true, which usually means it is. Anyone on this site have a reaction to or knowldege of this treatment?

Did he/she give the pellet a name?

I have read that estrogen patches help in a number of ways!! Is that what they are refering to?

She (my therapist) "thought" the pellet injected into the butt cheek to increase libido was testosterone.

Could you talk her into being your guinea pig - you know just for laboratory research purposes? A three course dinner might help...

Vitruviusman and I have not had positive experiences with the pump. Also, I have not responded to the 100mg "challenge dose" of sildenafil. I think I may try an injection soon.

I am sorry about your pump. I had Rung Wang (real name) as my doctor at MD Anderson and this is all he does. On and off campus so he knows his pekkers. He even gets you a overnight stay all paid by medicare....I have learned it is how it is coded and backed by the doc. I just had blepharoplasty at Emory in Atlanta .. The Ocularplastic surgeon coded so medicare paid...Private Clinic was going to be 8500.00 bucks .

Just some info for what worked with me ....I really stay away from private clinics and small hospitals...Went to a local ENT he had 7 chances to DX my head and neck cancer and blew it ...Lost 1/2 of my lower jaw...Texas sent me to Bob Marx in Miami and I am still pretty...I looked at the private pump doctors and they are all about volume of patients.
