Proton treatment and Zoladex

I was diagnosed as possibly having prostate cancer as my doctor gave me a PSA test in December 2015 which came back as 6.1 this is when l was sent for a biopsy 24 samples were taken all which contained cancer at this point l didn’t know which way to turn but l seemed very calm as my head was saying don’t give in within 6 months l was at 6.3 at this point my wife who is Chinese had a word with her employer who has over 20 years of experience in Chinese medicine so she gave me a special made up recipe of herbs with one special additive my consultant was not convinced but the nurses were astounded when l told them that my visits to the toilet were now as much as 5 hours apart but the herbs weren’t enough to kill the cancer oh what I didn’t say was l changed my diet to eating more healthy no chocolate no chicken no fatty food like chips no sugar like 4 cups of tea a day equals 8 spoons of sugar now on papaya tea - no sugar no cakes my daily meals consist of 10 vegetables rice turkey- salmon or prawns no much variety but l have adapted to live this way within l year my PSA was 13.1 so this is when l decided to research proton treatment l went to Prague in Czech Republic had a blood test to check my PSA then a MRI scan came home to UK while the team made a plan for my treatment returned 1 week later for treatment which was one of most relaxing things l have done since diagnosed treatment every other day for 10 days l was told that l may experience incontinance which l did for about 2 weeks but had control of it as when l returned home l went back to work 2 days later was put on Zoladex for about 1 year but since follow ups from my consultant was made to extend it to 3 years ( what l didn’t say was my prostate was 90 % column in the core ) had no problems since treatment my Gleason was 3+4 PSA 13.1 — now PSA 0.1 since treatment in May 2016 sorry this is so long but have tried to log this on site for a long time but couldn’t get it to register. good luck for the future l hope all goes well for you one other thing was l was told l had lymth nodes between the anus and the testes in UK when l went to Prague the professor said if you have we will deal with it l didn’t as it happens l believe their equipment is state of the ark also l noticed l had a very enlarged right testical which has reduced to its normal size well pleased now RGD115

Sorry to hear your tale...welcome to this forum....There are many knowledgeable posters here--I recommend reading Nalakrats and pjoshea13 for clinical info, supplements, etc. You are part of a large community and you are not alone...your PSA, we call it prostate specific anxiety test here, is low... sounds like you are in good hands in Prague...Good luck
