Meh! I've tried it due to severe spasms from a spinal chord injury. I have to take tizanadine, a strong muscle relaxer. I was hoping RSO would reduce my need for the tizanadine. It did not. There is a bit of increased relaxation and a great high (for me, it starts about 3 hours after ingestion and lasts another 4 hours). I have found RSO results vary quite a bit from one dispensary to another. But, for me, it isn't that effective for the aforementioned purpose. I use it maybe once a week.

Cannabis oil will assist in pain control but you still need some pain killers, either non opiod (eg paracetemol, ibuprofen), or lower doses of opiods. Despite the RSO claims, cannabis oil has not been shown to have any effects on PCa.

I would like more info if you have to share, on Cannabis usage for PCa. My father is using it, as my brother feels it may help lower his #’s, in addition to his current medicinal treatment: Lupron, Zyriga +Zometa. Tia

I think keep using it. Best to take before bed - it means you are alert the next day. Basically, you feel better. I took cannabis oil for about a year, extracted at home from local crop. For about 6 months, a CBD only strain, for the other 6 months, a strain with equal CBD and THC. Worked up to 1 g a day. (that's a lotta dope)The CBD was less intoxicating but with either you were pretty smashed for about 10 hours. No effect on PSA. Major effect on pain control - paracetamol and ibuprofen much more effective. A couple of good joints is a very workable and cheaper alternative. Beware of RSO oil, it is crudely extracted from any old cannabis and you can never know with any confidence what is in it and in what proportions.

Thank you for replying!

How are your #’s today, and where is your pain located? My dad doesn’t complain of too much pain, on in back from scoliosis , MD says. My dad has been battling for about 14 years now. Overall, he’s doin great. He actually got dizzy 2 days ago & sorta loosely fell to the floor in AM; this was after a significant ⬆️ in Cannabis (predominantly THC @nite)...he took too much, won’t do THAT again😳

My PSA is low thanks to the anti-androgens I take. I am 17 years in. I did my cannabis oil years ago, before starting ADT. I'm in no great pain and do not use the oil at the moment (keeping it in the freezer for when I need it). I do however smoke a joint occasionally. Before bed helps with sleep and you wake alert and fresh. The oil is pretty potent stuff and you need to build up gradually to major doses. I started with a bit of oil about the size of a rice grain and built up to a gram over a month or so. I don't think you need that much unless in major pain. Its good for pain (and just plain old feelin' good) but no evidence that it has any effect on PCa itself.

Isn’t there a post somewhere regarding Dr Myers warning about using CBD (or RSO) with PCa. I think he warns against its use due additional cannabinoid receptors in PCa cells meaning the CBD feeds it?

I read that CDB can be detrimental also. It has not really been studied much because of its legal status. THC may be an androgen blocker but that was also a very limited study. Without more research, those questions will not be answered now that hemp is legal in the US again, we will probably get more info.

Isn’t she the Spanish doctor that injected CBD directly into Glioblastoma tumours? All the patients later died of Glioblastoma. It was a few years ago, nothing heard since, but all over the internet as proof CBD works.

I could be wrong though.

EDIT: nature.com/articles/6603236

Complex, but the patients died @ around 20 weeks (I think)🙁

Was it your testosterone or your PSA? If PSA, great result! I don't know of any evidence that it feeds the beast. Yes there are cannibinoid receptors on PCa, but they are found on very many cells around the body and the body produces cannibinoids on its own.
